____________________________________________________________

Q. How old do you have to be to get a body piercing at your studio?
A. As long as you are 18 years old, you just need to have your picture ID. If not, the answer is a long one.
In the state of Texas you can get a body piercing under the age of 18 if you have all of the following.
1. Parental consent
2. The Parent and Minor must both present government issued photo IDs (drivers license or passport, for example). Sorry, we cannot accept school IDs.
3.The Parent must provide us with the Minor’s birth certificate. If the parent has changed their name since then we also must have proof of name change ( for example, a marriage certificate, or other legal documents). Names on all this documentation must match the IDs.
4. The Minor must be the one to actually want the piercing. We do not pierce toddlers or babies. If the child cannot ask us for the piercing we will not do it.
5. No genital or nipple piercings under 18.
6. The parent must be physically present and view the entire body piercing procedure.

Q. Does body piercing hurt?
A. Yes. The pain varies from person to person. The location of the piercing also affects pain.
____________________________________________________________

Q. Can I drink alcohol or take pain killers before I get a body piercing?
A. Do not drink alcohol or take drugs for pain relief purposes prior to your piercing session. Both aspirin and alcohol thin blood and promote excessive bleeding. Aspirin also decreases the clotting of blood, which will slow down healing.
____________________________________________________________

Q. How much does _________ piercing cost?
A. Our piercings start at $40.00. The majority of our piercings are that price. All our piercings include jewelry. Typically when you get both ear lobes pierced or both nipples we reduce the pricing to $60.00, which includes both of the piercings. Genital piercings start at $80.00.
____________________________________________________________

Q. How should I prepare myself before my body piercing?
A. Please be well rested. Get a good night’s sleep. Make sure you eat at least 1 hour before your appointment. Please take your hygiene into account. Take a shower and wash yourself before you come in. Your piercer should not have to deal with a stinky body while doing the piercing.

Q. How can I make an appointment with one of the body piercers at Stainless?

Q. How do I take care of my body piercing?
A. Never take advice from your friends. We will properly educate you on how to take care of your piercing when you come in to our studio. If you have questions after you leave, send us an email so we can help you. Asking your friends will never end well, and no one wants you to get an infection or develop extra scars.

Q. How old do you have to be to get a tattoo at your studio?

A. 18 years old with no exceptions. Even with parental consent it is illegal in Texas to tattoo anyone under 18 years of age. You must have a government issue ID. This means a passport, drivers license, or military ID.
____________________________________________________________

Q. Does getting a tattoo hurt?

A. Yes. The pain varies from person to person. Location of the tattoo on the body also affects pain.
____________________________________________________________

Q. Can I drink alcohol or take pain killers before I get tattooed?

A. Do not drink alcohol or take drugs for pain relief purposes prior to your tattoo session. Both aspirin and alcohol thin blood and promote excessive bleeding. Aspirin also decreases the clotting of blood, which will slowdown healing.
____________________________________________________________

Q. Do you do temporary tattoos?

A. No. Get a real tattoo.
____________________________________________________________

Q. How much does it cost to get a tattoo?

A. Our shop minimum is $60.00 and we charge between $120.00 – $150.00 per hour depending on artist and other factors. We are not a car dealership and we do not haggle, although we can work within your personal budget if you let us know what it is at your consult. The only way to get an accurate quote for your tattoo is to have a consultation with one of our artists in person. No one can quote your tattoo over email or over the phone.
____________________________________________________________

Q. How should I prepare myself before my tattoo?

A. Please be well rested. Get a good nights sleep. Make sure you eat at least 1 hour before your appointment. Please take your hygiene into account. Take a shower and wash yourself before you come in. No one wants to deal with your stinky feet while tattooing them.
____________________________________________________________

Q. How can I make an appointment with one of the artists at Stainless?

A. Email them. Click on their name under artists and send them an email. You can also call the studio to setup a consultation, or come see us in person. We don’t bite. Expect a reply within 1 – 2 business days. Be patient – remember that the artists are busy people too.
____________________________________________________________

Q. Can I bring my child to my appointment?

A. No. You must be 18 years of age to be allowed in our work areas. Also consider that you will be busy getting your tattoo and will not be able to watch your child during the process, so don’t expect them to wait in the lobby. We are tattoo artists, not baby sitters.
____________________________________________________________

Q. Is there anything you won’t tattoo?

A. We will not tattoo gang related symbols, or racial hate motivated tattoos. We also choose to do tattoos that we know will hold up well over time and look great for years to come. For this reason,we typically do not tattoo the following areas: the sides of the fingers, palms, inside lips, or bottom of feet. We also don’t do all white tattoos or black light tattoos.
____________________________________________________________

Q. Is your Tattoo ink vegan friendly?

A. Yes. We use inks that are organic and vegan friendly!
